ANALYSIS OF INTENSIVE AND EXTENSIVE PRODUCTION LIVESTOCK (ILPS AND ELPS) TO PROPOSE A DIFFERENT APPROACH BASED ON THE QUALITY OF ANIMAL-DERIVED PRODUCTS AND THE SYSTEMS SUSTAINABILITY.
The aim of CODE RE-FARM project is to analyze the future challenges of the goat and poultry industry, to suggest alternative business models and ecosystem management practices by increasing the added value of products, and to understand the links between farming systems and the inherent quality of derived products. The project is funded by European Union and is led by the leader CyRIC - Cyprus Research and Innovation Center LTd.
As part of this ambitious project, Accadia Verde Srl will be one of the main pilots as an example of semi-intensive goat farming and will make its products (milk / cheese) available for analysis and quality tests, using new and conventional technologies. The quality of the products will be assessed on the basis of nutritional, hygienic, organoleptic and sensorial parameters. Furthermore, the Company will actively participate in the development of new business models and alternative solutions to traditional farming methods.
The project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101000216.
